Made during the very highly rated 2016 Vintage here in the Barossa Valley.
Bright and vibrant. Medium to deep crimson with an edge of brick red.
Aroma & Flavour
Distinct elegant red currant aromas typical of the Southern Barossa and over layered with wood spice from 24 months maturation in American and French oak barrels.
The palate is an extension of the wine’s high quality appearance and nose.
Fresh and very expressive, with juicy Shiraz flavours. Hints of complexing savoury notes are evident.
Silky tannins and a balanced acidity round off this wine, making all elements in harmony.
Very good to drink now.
In 5 – 8 years it will display additional complex gamey and savoury flavours.
In 12- 15 years should be at its best.
