Vintage and Vineyard
Grapes for this wine were selected from the ‘Pedro’ block on our Estate. A small parcel of highly flavoured fruit was earmarked and kept separate.

Winemaking
Much cooler than average temperatures which occurred during the growing season ensured these Shiraz grapes had excellent sugar/acid balance and concentrated flavour.

Traditional on-skin fermentation for 10 days with daily pumping over of the skins has extracted a deep dense colour and robust firm tannins.

Free-run juice and pressed portions were blended together and then underwent malolactic fermentation, softening the wine. Maturation was carried out in a combination of French and American oak and cellared within Stainless steel ensuring the retention of the natural fruit flavours.
