2019 7TH GENERATION
SEMILLON

SEMILLON IS THE CLASSICAL ‘FOUNDATIN’ WHITE GRAPE VARIETY OF THE BAROSSA VALLEY. THIS WINE IS PRODUCED FROM GRAPES GROWN FROM OUR ESTATE VINEYARDS IN ROWLAND FLAT AND IS ONE OF THE FEW REMAINING OLD-VINE BAROSSA SEMILLON VINEYARDS.

The warm, dry growing conditions resulted in an early Vintage. The grapes were harvested during the cold of the night on 7 February 2019.
Colour: bright medium straw with green tinges.
Crisp mineral acidity. Subtle herbal and Crenshaw melon aromas. Finishes long and tangy with elegance.
Only the first cut free run juice was utilised. Fermentation was conducted in stainless steel at low temperatures which has locked in the varietal fruit flavours of the Semillon grape. Following clarification, the wine was bottled early in July 2019 to retain its delicate aromas and flavours.
This is a non-oaked style.
